Galicia is a paradise for hiking. In this Galicia Walking Festival we want to present the best routes that the region has. Each of the groups will focus on a specific area, so that you can slowly enjoy all its authenticity.
There are programs for all levels, look at the difficulty and the other characteristics of each of them and choose your destination.
Program 1: O Courel (May 03-10, 2025)
Courel Mountains, recently named Geopark by UNESCO, is one of the best kept secrets of Galicia. In this program we enjoy hiking in the middle of nature, from the top of its mountains to the beautiful chestnut forests and valleys bathed by the Lor River. We walk through virgin forests where the hand of man is barely noticeable, such as the Devesa da Rogueira, the biological jewel of Galicia. One by one we go through all the small villages, of great landscape and ethnographic wealth, on a route that will transport you in time.

Program 2: Ribeira Sacra (May 10-17, 2025)
The Ribeira Sacra is a pleasure for the senses. Candidate for World Heritage is crossed by the Miño and Sil rivers, which model a spectacular landscape and give life to its vineyards, arranged on steep terraces for the heroic viticulture practiced by its people. Their forests seem a fairy story and in them we will find the largest concentration of Romanesque churches in Europe. Put on your boots, come here and discover with us all the secrets of this beautiful region.

Program 3: Rías Baixas (May 17-24, 2025)
Rías Baixas is the most visited tourist destination in the summer of Galicia. During a week of May, it will become for you a destination that will combine the best hiking trails with a large number of activities that will help you know much better as we are. We will visit a land that is rich in everything: extraordinary maritime landscapes, an ancient history and a high quality cuisine based on fish and seafood. On land, its vineyards, one of the best white wines: the Albariño wine.

Program 4: Camiño dos Faros (May 24 – May 31, 2025)
Camiño dos Faros (The Lighthouse Way) is a 200-km hiking route in Galicia (Spain) that links Malpica with Finisterre along the coastline. A route that runs by all the Lighthouses and the most important landmarks in A Costa da Morte (Death Coast). Lighthouses, beaches, dunes, rivers, cliffs, forests, estuaries with a large number of birds, granite formations, castros, dolmens, fishing villages, viewpoints to the sea that breaks in all possible ways, sunsets … and lots of magic. A special hiking route that will take the hiker to a world of unique sensations.
